Skip To My Lou - Mudskippers
Fitting into the category of odd and eccentric that he loves so much, this is Peter’s first ever amphibious fish box figurine. Having the ability to breathe through its skin, the mudskipper can leave the water and walk across the beach if it feels like it and uses its fins to move around in a series of skips. It can also catapult itself nearly two feet into the air. The mudskipper grows to six inches and is found throughout tropical Africa, Asia and Australia.
Within the interior of this Treasure Jest you'll find a carving of its favorite food - crab. Along the lid are the inscriptions “mudskipper” and its anagram “musk dipper”. Bart, the Calvesbert family’s Border terrier, also receives mention on the lid.
